Today is 9 October and my Air Asia flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to Bangkok is at a reasonable 9:45am.
My pre booked taxi arrives to collect me at 6:00am and, somehow, I have managed to be ready on time. My taxi heads off to Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN). Continue reading
I will miss you Ho Chi Minh City
I have spent 4 excellent days exploring the beachside peninsula of Vung Tau, staying at the back beach of Bai Sau. Sadly it is now time to check out of the My Le Hotel.
I pay the additional hotel charges which includes a minibar charge of VND$48,000 (AUD$3.00) and laundry charge of VND$148,000 (AUD$9.00). Continue reading
I wake up on a Thursday morning in the largest city in Vietnam… Ho Chi Minh City, also known as HCMC or by its former name of Saigon. I am staying at the Mai Phai Hotel which itself is located centrally on Pham Ngu Lao Street in Ho Chi Minh, having arrived fairly exhausted last night following a 5 hour bus trip from Mui Ne. Last look at Mui Ne beach
I have just spent the afternoon exploring Mui Ne and now leave the lovely and relaxing resort beach of Mui Ne behind as I head to the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh where I will spend the next couple of days exploring.
To get to Ho Chi Minh City, I am taking a bus. Travel time to HCMC is 5 hours. I find a seat on the bus and next to me arrives my new best friend “Aziz”. Continue reading
