Alex and I are departing Melbourne and heading for Queenscliff this Melbourne Cup long weekend (that’s a public holiday long weekend thanks to a horse race).
Queenscliff is about 20 minute drive further on from Geelong (which I once read Geelong described as “a place you need to drive through to get to the Great Ocean Road”…ouch). It wasn’t mentioned that Geelong also has a very fine AFL football team. Continue reading
It is spring in Melbourne and the Spring Racing Carnival has begun. Its a time when races including the famous Melbourne Cup are run and won. The Melbourne Cup is known as the race that stops a nation and is held on the first Tuesday in November each year.
