Planes on deck of the Aircraft Carrier Intrepid
Today is a Monday and the Labor Day long weekend in New York but there is no rest for the wicked as Alex and I have more exploring to do of this wonderful city.

Franklin D Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park
Today Alex and I will spend part of the day enjoying the tranquility of Central Park before we make our way to Roosevelt Island via the Roosevelt Island Tram. Why? Also today we will also visit Macy’s department store. Tonight we head to the US Open tennis, a tournament held during August/September each year at Flushing Meadows. Continue reading
The Statue of Liberty and the 9/11 Memorial are two of the main New York “attractions” which Alex and I are looking to visit today.
Both are located in downtown Manhattan and between them, should take up most of our day.
It is a slightly overcast Thursday morning with a top of 22 degrees forecast. Humidity 87%.
Alex and I are on holidays in Manhattan, New York.
Today we are looking to take the train to the Bronx Zoo before we later visit the popular Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Continue reading
