Alex and I arrived in Washington last night after a 4.5 hour bus trip from brilliant New York.
It is a sunny Saturday morning and Washington awaits. Today we will visit some of the Smithsonian Museums, The National Mall and the Capitol building located on Capitol Hill… now to wake up Alex and tell him the good news. Continue reading

We spend the morning packing so that we can spend the rest of what is a glorious New York day in Central Park before we get a bus to Washington D.C this afternoon.

This is where magic happens
Alex and I are nearing the end of our two wonderful weeks in New York but we have saved a few big ticket items for last.
We have pre-purchased tickets for tonight’s performance of The Lion King at the Minskoff Theatre. I am anticipating this will be another New York City highlight as I have only ever heard excellent reviews. After the theatre we are going to the observation deck of the Empire State Building. Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan
It is a Tuesday morning and the end of the Labor Day long weekend in New York City.
Today we will walk across the Brooklyn Bridge (both ways).
After we finish walking the iconic Brooklyn Bridge we will catch the train to Coney Island which was mostly known as a “seaside resort” for its beach, boardwalk and amusement rides. Continue reading
